ANSWER: Design activities at the child’s current level of skill and adapt activities as needed, start with one step directions , teach skills in slow motion, demonstrate and use pictures when explaining movement activities, use hula hoops or carpet squares to define personal space during activities, provide adaptive equipment as needed, invite children to partner, teach each other the activity, provide activities that stimulate the vestibular system like rocking, spinning and swinging., and use heavy work such as hauling buckets of water or moving heavy wooden blocks to calm children.
