Compare and contrast smooth muscle and skeletal muscle
What will be an ideal response?
Smooth muscle is uninucleate; skeletal muscle cells have many nuclei per cell. The contractile filaments (myosin and actin) are less organized in smooth muscle; they are highly organized in skeletal muscles. Smooth muscle is associated with internal organs; skeletal muscles are (with a few exceptions) attached to bones.
