BCM is designed to improve the resilience of a company. BCM requires three different activities:
(1) planning for issues including interruptions; (2) testing to make sure the plan or program
works; and (3) maintenance and reassessment of the BCM strategy. Business continuity ensures
that the organization plans and prepares for INFOSEC-related events due to both man-made and
natural threats, including fire, earthquakes, and floods.
