How did the species of australopithecines differ? How were they similar? What will be an ideal response?

All Australopithecines were small and bipedal. A. anamensis is the oldest, and is more
primitive in its teeth and skull. A. afarensis was fully bipedal and exhibited great variability
in size and weight. It still retained apelike features, such as brow ridges and a forward-jutting
jaw. However, its teeth were intermediate between apes and humans. A. africanus had a
flatter face and larger brain. Both A. robustus and A. boisei are considered robust
australopithecines. A. boisei had an elevated bony crest for jaw muscles, while flat molars
indicate that A. robustus was a vegetarian.
