Why is it more important than ever before that news releases are complete, accurate, and correctly formatted before distribution?

What will be an ideal response?

Many newspapers can no longer afford to assign specialty reporters to specific “beats” such as local politics, sports, or schools. However, newsworthy stories still need to be shared with the public so it is possible that news releases may be run written with little or no changes by the editors--warts and all--making it imperative to get them right the first time.
