What will be an ideal response?
Counselors working with issues related to balancing life, family, and work need to implement a number of techniques to help bring the client into focus to clarify and find possible solutions for his or her dilemma. There are four processes which can help the counselor and client evaluate a situation or problem and make changes: (a) clarifying values; (b) setting realistic goals and expectations; (c) setting priorities and managing time; and (d) letting go and understanding control. Using these processes in a coordinated way can bring about the client’s needed change.
