Why are ethics important in Public Relations??
What will be an ideal response?
ANSWER:
Most PR practitioners use good judgment and make ethical decisions. However, when a few disregard their inner conscience and do not think about the social consequences of their actions, then the public, their client, the PR image, and they themselves lose out. Their poor decisions attract media attention because of the massive domino effects that can occur; for example, employees may lose their jobs, stockholders may lose their hard-earned investments, or people may lose their lives.?
