What will be an ideal response?
ANSWER: Town schools educated both boys and girls from age 6 to age 13 or 14 as a form of elementary education. Secondary and higher education were reserved for boys. The Latin grammar school was the secondary school for boys. Therefore, boys had more educational opportunities and advantages; girls had drastically fewer opportunities. Those from the lower classes were also denied access to education beyond the town school.
