What are the five component elements required in creating a case study design, and how are they connected?

What will be an ideal response?

• Study questions: Questions are directed toward how and why considerations. This is the first task of the researcher, to define the questions asked.
• Study propositions or theoretical framework: The study's propositions derive from these how and why questions, and assist in developing a theoretical focus.
• Identification of the unit(s) of analysis: The unit of analysis defines what the case study is focusing on (what the case is), such as an individual, a group, an organization, a community, and so forth.
• The logical linking of the data to the propositions (or theory)
• The criteria for interpreting findings
• The last two characteristics are typically the least developed of all aspects in case studies.
