If a child is injured and the physician is uncertain of whether the injury is physical child abuse, should the physician alert the police? Why? Why not?

What will be an ideal response?

Depends on how sure the physician is that the child was abused. If there is a substantial likelihood then the injury should be reported If the indicators are weak, then the physician should monitor.
