Explain the two basic design features of green infrastructure.
What will be an ideal response?
Green infrastructure is based on the principle of (1) hubs, and (2) corridors. Hubs are large areas of open green space, and may include public parks, nature preserves, recreational areas. Hubs are generally undeveloped and environmentally significant in a local area. Corridors are linear ribbons of green space, especially along rivers and streams. Corridors support migration and travel routes for animals, connect hubs, and promote watershed protection.
