How does exposure to violence affect children’s development?
What will be an ideal response?
Exposure to chronic violence can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder,
depression, and chronic anxiety. Children with all these conditions have trouble with
attention and learning. Exposure to violence also affects moral reasoning in that it
changes the way children process information about moral dilemmas and make moral
decisions.
