Briefly describe how the information organization differs from the formal organization

What will be an ideal response?

The informal organization differs from the formal organization in two main
ways. First, the formal organization is a definite, structured entity while the informal
organization is not bound by structure or function. Second, the concept of a common
purpose is not present in the definition of an informal organization as it is with a formal
organization. This is not to say, though, that the informal organization does not have
definite effects. According to Barnard, the informal organization has the following
consequences (1938, p. 116): The most general direct effects of informal organization are
customs, mores, folklore, institutions, social norms, and ideals. The informal organization
creates the conditions under which a formal organization may arise.
