Describe the various electrical codes.

What will be an ideal response?

Both the design and installation of electrical systems are carefully regulated by electrical codes. The National Fire Protection Association sponsors the model code, the National Electrical CodeĀ® Requirements for One- and Two-Family Dwellings, as well as a series of Standards Publications related to electrical safety and equipment. The International Code Council offers the publication International Code Council Electrical Code, which details information related to the administration and enforcement of the NFPA National Electrical CodeĀ®. Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL), tests and certifies electrical devices. Approved electrical devices carry the UL label.
