What is restorative justice, and why is it used?
What will be an ideal response?
Restorative justice programs are often used in communities who have difficult relationships to the criminal justice system, or who have been failed by these systems in the past, including immigrant communities and communities of color. Restorative justice is an informal conflict mediation program that works toward identifying the harm and figuring out how, as a community, the issues can be resolved.
