Collaborative teaming is a strategy that focuses on the role of teachers in promoting inclusive practices for all students. It involves two or more people working together to educate students. these people have shared goals, believe in the value of each person's contributions to the team, and distribute leadership throughout the team. The five principle components of collaborative teaming are: 1) building team structure (creating school policies to support teaming and defining team members and making time to meet); 2) learning teamwork skills (including active listening, negotiation and compromise, and releasing roles to others); 3) taking team action (problem solve, create a plan, determine a schedule, identify how it will be evaluated); 4) teach collaboratively; and 5) improve communication and handling conflict
