What will be an ideal response?
The benefits are awareness, development of goals, building couple- and self-esteem, and prevention. The negative effects include the idea that the outcome may be illusionary or temporary, not enough emphasis on the individual difference, divisive influences, and rigidity in the couple's communication patterns. In addition, a failure to follow through on new techniques may lead to guilt or resentment.
