What will be an ideal response?


In April of 2017, the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) released a report concluding that black students have disproportionately higher rates of arrest by police and also suspension and expulsion from schools. In reaching its conclusion, the EJI used data from the U.S. Department of Education. Also examine how the EJI is attempting to reduce the potential for bias in the juvenile justice system, and describe your perception of the effectiveness of these efforts.
