Describe the technique that must be used if the length of a conduit run is longer than the length of your longest fish tape.

The technique uses a powerful machine similar to a vacuum cleaner to blow or suck a small part with a string tied to it through the length of conduit. The small part is normally referred to as a “mouse.” Once the mouse has been blown or sucked through the conduit, the attached string is removed from the mouse and tied to a stronger pulling rope that is then pulled through the conduit. The pulling rope is then attached to the wires and they are pulled into the conduit. This technique is used much more often in commercial and industrial wiring because the conduit runs in house wiring are usually not longer than the length of a fish tape.
