Briefly describe the structure of an insect society. What are the benefits associated with this

organization? What will be an ideal response?

A honeybee society is composed of the following:1.
One queen: the only female capable of reproduction.
2. Many worker bees (all female) organized into a division of labor for producing wax, nursing
larval bees, and foraging for food.
3. A few drones (all male) which fertilize the developing queens.
Such a cooperative society maximizes the construction and maintenance of their hive, survival of its
members, the rearing of young, and the protection for the group.
