Explain the difference in effectiveness in an adolescent regulating strategy such as acceptance compared to rumination

What will be an ideal response?

Acceptance shows an active attempt on the part of the adolescent to try and resolve their feelings. Even if this strategy isn't completely effective, they are much less likely to experience anger or sadness compared to those who use a strategy such as rumination (excessive worrying).
