Under what circumstances is population growth "sustainable"? Discuss what sustainable means and attempt to apply your definition to Earth's human population

What will be an ideal response?

Sustainable means that the ecosystem produces more than is being used. As long
as there is an underexploited niche, growth can be sustained. It is the existence of limits (the
finiteness of resources) that makes population growth ultimately unsustainable.
