Identify the post–Council of Trent regulations concerning religious art describing at least one example, additionally explain the irony of the developments in secular art

Please provide the best answer for the statement.

As a result of The Council of Trent, religious subject matter and religious venues were kept in check. However, painters were creating nonreligious subject matter for nonreligious venues without heavy oversight, and artists could more or less do as they pleased. The Spanish and French courts are excellent examples of nonreligious venues where works of art like Titian’s Rape of Europa were conceived under the patronage of Phillip II, the Spanish monarch. Titian was allowed to create a mythological subject matter in which he experimented with the elements of the Mannerist style made possible by the lack of the Church’s scrutiny.
