One way students can transform their texts is with In-Your-Mind strategies. Briefly describe two of the three strategies mentioned in the book, and explain why or how these strategies would benefit your students

What will be an ideal response?

Answers should include two out of the three.
One In-Your-Mind strategy is making connections; this benefits students by helping them understand, remember, and apply the information by making personal textual and real world connections. Partner conversations is another strategy; it helps students make, support, or refute statements, which in turn makes them accountable for providing evidence to support their statements. Visualizing is a third strategy used by good readers; poor readers are less likely to use this strategy especially with factual, foreign, or technical text.
