What is the “least aggressive first” theory?

What will be an ideal response?

Technicians should use the “least aggressive method first.” This means that the technician initially uses the product or technique that is the least damaging to the finish when removing a defect. Many techniques for removing defects will damage the finish slightly in the process, by leaving scratches behind after their removal. That situation requires another procedure to remove those scratches, until the finish is restored. It is always easier to move to a more aggressive method if needed than to be disappointed with the amount of work needed to “repair the repair.”
