cavities are the thoracic cavity which contains the heart and lungs, the abdominal cavity
which contains the digestive organs, liver, kidneys, adrenal glands and spleen, and the
pelvic cavity which contains the urinary bladder, ovaries, uterus and lower portion of the
large intestine.
