Explain why the majority of large modern telescopes are not refractors

Refracting telescopes suffer from chromatic aberration, which limits their usefulness, whereas reflecting telescopes do not have this problem. The primary lens of a refracting telescope is much more difficult to manufacture than a mirror of the same size, and is more expensive.
