Public housing units with less privacy and a lower amount of accessibility have lower crime because the units “[discourage] would-be assailants” and benefit from natural surveillance by neighbors.
Cameras are routinely installed in different venues to be able to identify offenders and keep potential offenders from committing crimes.
We lock our automobiles and homes to keep offenders from stealing our cars and breaking into our homes. Some of us might have “the club” or some other items on our car to protect it from theft.
