Summarize the two steps of protein synthesis
What will be an ideal response?
Transcription and translation are the two steps of protein synthesis. During transcription, the code specified by a gene is copied inside the nucleus, creating a molecule of messenger RNA (mRNA). During translation, ribosomes outside the nucleus read the nucleotide sequence of the mRNA molecule and synthesize a polypeptide chain containing the correct amino acid sequence.
