What is entropy, and what do energy and negative entropy have to do with an organization’s survival?
What will be an ideal response?
Entropy is a universal law of nature in which all forms of organization move toward
disorganization or death. Entropy can be reversed by having the organization import
more energy from its environment than it expends. For an organization to survive,
energy must be taken into the organization and transformed into products and services
that consumers want. The organization needs to import more energy from its
environment than it expends so the open system can store energy and take on negative
entropy.
