How does galvanic skin response (GSR) biofeedback work?
What will be an ideal response?
The GSR will monitor sweat activity based on the secretion of conductive salts. An activated autonomic nervous system due to stress and other emotional stimuli will result in increased sweat gland activity. The increased activity is presented back to the patient, and he or she must attempt to gain a level of control to decrease ANS output.
