Using good grammar, describe how a technician would go about solving an intermittent problem
What will be an ideal response?
An intermittent problem is one of the most difficult for a technician to solve. Since the technician is most likely not there when the problem presents itself, the technician will have to listen carefully to the symptoms described by the user. The technician should ask open-ended questions that allow the user to use their own words and then use closed-ended questions (those that require a short response such as yes or no) to narrow down understanding. Based on what the user describes, the technician can try one thing at a time and ask the user to report whether anything changes. The technician must be sure to document what things have been tried already.
