How are population density, density of communications networks, and social complexity related to the rise of axial age thinking?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary but correct responses should include: Population density and density of communication networks made it easier for the sages to get their messages and innovative ideas to the masses. People were gathering closer together in Greece, China, and India to use the resources and trade provided by the urbanization of these empires. More people meant more followers and as axial age thinking developed into clear messages of social and moral conduct, its claims about the social complexity of human character made people think or believe in a variety of options when their had only been one before. Schools and networks made this new human and communication density an advantage to sages as they increased their reputations and spread their messages.
