Some ways to troubleshoot network issues include:

Cables: Make sure cables are connected. Swap cables with another network computer if only one computer is having trouble.

Signal strength: If the wireless signal is weak, move the network computer closer to the access point.

Security: Make sure you are using the correct password and that it has not expired.

Interference: Look for sources such as cordless phones or baby monitors.

Network devices: Make sure the network hub, switch, router, and wireless access point are plugged in and functioning. Check the activity lights.

Settings: Make sure the network is enabled and use the Control Panel to check the drivers for your  network equipment.
