Evaluate the following analogical argument:Prostitution is legal in the Netherlands, and it doesn't seem to produce any terrible societal problems. I'll bet it would be the same in the United States.
What will be an ideal response?
We aren't convinced. There are lots of cultural differences between the two countries, and they weaken the argument. (We might add, it isn't so clear that the premise about problems in the Netherlands is true, since the influence of criminal activities is being felt in the prostitution business.)
