Macro's is an umbrealla definition for different type cells combined in the central nervous system that are neither neurons nor microglia (or tissue-based macrophages). Macro's conclude a wealthy population of cells include astrocytes, oligodendrogliocytes and glioblasts. Their functions are providing nutrition, physical support and synthesise myelin.
