Explain briefly the difference between how a flexible fuel vehicle works and one that runs only on gasoline.

What will be an ideal response?

Flexible fuel vehicles are designed to run on M85, E85, or gasoline. Flexible fuel vehicles typically use a fuel sensor that determines the level of alcohol in the fuel. The PCM modifies its fuel delivery, ignition timing, and emissions strategies accordingly. The engine is essentially the same except a different oil may be specified.
