Proponents of active euthanasia argue it is the right of the individual to choose to die without pain and suffering, while the opponents of active euthanasia argue that it is a slippery slope and would lead to society seeing physician assisted suicide as a solution to social problems faced by the poor, persons of color, or individuals with disabilities.
