What is Net neutrality? Should those who own or are running the Internet pipeline be able to control the information that flows through it?

What will be an ideal response?

Net neutrality is the idea that Internet traffic should flow through the Internet pipeline without interference or discrimination by those who own or are running the pipeline. Currently, Congress is considering the question of control over the business of the media. Critics, including Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, charge that congressional passage of legislation supporting the service providers would destroy the neutrality and openness of the Internet. In 2015 the FCC adopted regulations intended to preserve the open Internet.
