How does data validation work? Why would you use it?
What will be an ideal response?
Data validation sets up criteria, or rules, for a cell. An input message can tell the user what they can enter in the cell, and an error message can tell the user why what they entered is wrong. If you want to reduce data entry errors you can use validation to restrict what is entered in the cell.
