What does terrazzo flooring consist of?

What will be an ideal response?

A terrazzo floor consists of wet mix of stone aggregates (typically marble chips of various colors and sizes) and a binder (either Portland cement or epoxy resin). The laying of terrazzo mix is similar to the laying of concrete, i.e., the mix is placed and floated. After the mix has hardened, it is ground smooth and polished. The finished terrazzo surface looks like granite.
