Explain the difference between intraspecies competition and interspecies competition. Given an example for each that illustrates the human threat to biodiversity

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Intraspecies competition is the dependence of two or more individuals in the same species that are on the same limiting resource. An example of this would be sunlight, water, and growing space for plants. This is a human threat as if plants don't have these elements to grow, then there will be no plants. We live off of a variety of plants. This is mainly through the oxygen that they provide and without oxygen, we cannot live. On the other hand, interspecies competition is where there is competition for resources between different species. This would result in an increased mortality rate and decreased reproduction. For example a lion and a tiger. They both have the same living space and both compete for things like food
