Cultural hazards—smoking, obesity, alcohol and drug use, risky sexual practices, too little exercise, hazardous occupations, sunbathing, driving too fast. Biological hazards—diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, protozoans, fungi, worms, etc. Physical hazards—hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, forest fires, earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions, climate change. Chemical hazards—chemicals that cause acute, subacute, chronic, or delayed responses in humans, carcinogens, teratogens, immunotoxins, hormonally active agents.
