Discuss configuring a dial-up connection for a RAS server.
What will be an ideal response?
After RAS is installed and configured, and you have created a remote access policy, you might need to create one or more ways for the RAS server to connect to the network so clients can access it. In addition to the Local Area Connection that you set up when installing Windows Server 2008, you can also create other connections to match your particular connectivity needs, by configuring a dial-up connection to a private network or ISP through a phone line, for example, or by enabling clients to connect through a telecommunications line or the Internet. You can create any of these connections through the Network and Sharing Center.

Suppose a memory manager has chosen a modified page for replacement. This page must be sent to secondary storage before the new page may be placed in its page frame. Therefore, the memory manager requests an I/O operation to write this page to secondary storage. An entry is made in a list of I/O requests waiting to be serviced. Thus the page will remain in main memory for some time before the requested I/O operation is performed. Now suppose that, while the other I/O requests are serviced, a running process requests the page to be replaced. How should the memory manager react?
