To what extent is the criminal justice system a system and a nonsystem? Include the four facets of the criminal justice system that argue that it is a system.

What will be an ideal response?

The three components of the justice process have the one overarching goal of public safety. Offenders enter one part of the system and exit another part of the system; this is an indication of the way that the three components operate in a systemic way. The interdependent nature of the components of the justice process illustrates the systemic nature of criminal justice. Criminal law is structured in such a way that it guides the behavior of all individuals operating in the criminal justice system.
