Discuss the purpose of the transformative mixed methods model.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: The purpose of this design is to employ the methods that will best serve the theoretical perspective of the researcher. This design also utilizes two phases, but the sequence of the phases is open to the needs of the researcher. The researcher may decide to emphasize the needs of the participants, or the perspective of the participants in the study. The researcher decides which method may best give support to a perspective through his or her choice of sequencing the methods, qualitative or quantitative, for example, the researcher may decide to use the qualitative perspective first followed by the quantitative, or it could be reversed.
