The shapening process involves edges using color differences of neightboring pixels if sharpening is applied before the tonal and color correcetions, the edge detection will be based on incorrect color information. 2 Sharpening increases the contrast of the edges. This contrast increase may exagger the problems (such colors casts) before they are fixed.
