Describe evidence that supports the role of testosterone in male and female animals and humans. Why is this evidence difficult to interpret?

What will be an ideal response?

The importance of testosterone in animal aggression is well established. For example, castration of an alpha male rat causes a significant decrease in aggressiveness along with loss of his dominant position; testosterone replacement prevents these losses. But it is difficult to determine if it is the cause or effect.
