Consumers can affect the food supply. Right action can increase the global food supply of healthier foods and reduce waste, energy consumption, and environmental degradation. Consumers can eat less meat; plan meals efficiently; diversify diets; grow their own food at home and in community gardens; and join campaigns to educate themselves about the food system.
