Discuss migration, its types, and the factors that impact the level of migration a nation experiences

What will be an ideal response

Migration is the movement of people from one area to another. Migration can occur when people move from one region to another in the same country or between nations. People leaving their native country are referred to as emigrants and as they enter the new country they become immigrants. Migration is based on the "push" factors of the native country and the "pull" factors of the new country. Push factors include war, disease, pestilence, a lack of opportunity, persecution, and any other factor that negatively impacts the quality of life. Pull factors include opportunity, freedom, participation in government, and the promise of a better life. The United States has the highest "pull" factors and lowest number of "push" factors of all world nations.
